Clinical Supervision for Counseling Associates
As Washington State Approved Supervisors, we provide guidance and support as you strive to achieve your professional goals, meet the standard of care, and work towards your counseling license. Supervision is designed to promote client welfare and to advance your professional development; it’s where clinical theory is transformed to practical skill. Supervisees attend sessions on a regular schedule (frequency depending on need and caseload). Supervisors oversee all aspects of associate practice and sign off on the accrued number of required supervision hours for submission to the state.
Professional Consultation for Licensed Counselors
As a complement to requirements for continuing education, we offer licensed therapists guidance and support for case conceptualization, professional development, and practice growth and management. Consulting is considered part of the standard of care, and integral to the ethical decision-making process outlined in counseling codes of ethics. Unlike supervision, however, consultants do not have responsibility to oversee your practice, track your caseload, or direct your clinical decisions. Regardless of experience, you may find yourself wanting consultation for tough clinical situations and for therapist self-reflection. Whether your need is case-specific, or you are wishing to start a regular practice of consultation, we can help.
